Post Mortem
As a whole, the way the game has been networked far exceeded our expectations of reliability and speed for data transfer. The way it has been set up despite us not having any prior knowledge of networking has been very good.
In order to improve this project in the future, a few things need to be addressed. For one, there is no counter on screen for each player that displays how many followers they have left, or what they are trying to get to as a final target. This is quite crucial to the gameplay, and to not have it implemented detracts massively from the experience of the game. Also, the game looks unpolished with default text displays and default colour backgrounds, without a lot of effort in the UI or Menu formatting. These simple changes provide a better experience for the player, and a loathsome under sight for us as the developers.
This would have been avoided by better time management and group planning, more frequent meetings between team members would have allowed us to understand each others work better and allowed us to expand on what we had faster. We therefore wouldn't have felt deadline pressure and would have been able to implement these final tweaks with time to spare to add the flourish to the project that we needed.
