Postmortem


What went well with our project:

1. The core loop was solid, every level had a definitive win or lose condition

2. Hit all criteria

3. Coding standards were maintained well, with nearly no errors flagged by the code checker.

4. File handling system to import level data worked flawlessly


What didn't go so well:

1. The scene manager became a nightmare to code with due to nestled systems that did different things

2. The high score leaderboard didn't work

3. Workflow and organisation near the end became difficult to maintain

4. Didn't have time to implement all our ideas before the deadline


How will we improve for next time:

Better time management could definitely have made this process smoother, would make it easier to assign jobs and feedback better to other group members what had been integrated and how to use it.
