Postmortem


What went well:

1. Movement between room and all encounters were perfectly smooth with hardly any bugs

2. Inventory system added flawlessly

3. Available exits justify to the left if there is a space made available by a non valid exit not rendering

4. Score read to screen makes players have more of an objective and incentive to play

What didn't go so well:

1. Extendability is poor

2. Didn't adapt the map or items at all from the basic code game

3. Text overlap glitch right at the end of the game

4. Time management was poor so nearly overran come deadline day

How would I improve next time:

I would make sure the verb system isn't hard coded and has some logic built in to detect whether the item can be used within the room the player is in, in order add extendabiliy to the program
